The Great Depression is one of the worst economy shutdowns. The Great Depression had everyone needing something extra. There was also the Dust Bowl which caused crop failures. There were so many things that happened. Then, when FDR became president, he made out the New Deal. Which helped raised people out of the Great Depression and got the stock market going. When the Great Depression ended, World War 1 started in a few years. The Great Depression had showed people that nothing could be the same because women showed they were able to work at the same pace as men. The men were embarrassed that they had to ask the women for help, during the Great Depression. But, that was the beginning of women getting to work at the same place as men. They were heading up to where they could have equal rights as men. We had gained our way up the ladder to work along side men.
